Severn Trent Supply Pipe Replacement Grant Scheme

Residents in Coventry can have £1300 paid towards their water pipes replacement as part of the £76million Severn Trent Supply Pipe Replacement Grant Scheme

COVENTRY residents can get their water supply pipes upgraded or replaced as part of a huge replacement scheme being implemented by Severn Trent.

Work started back in May 2022 in the CV1 area of the city – starting on Acacia Avenue just off the London Road. Teams will then work in phases in the direction of Gosford Primary School.

Severn Trent has launched a £1.8 million investment that will see the city’s old water pipes replaced and the rollout of the ambitious Green Recovery programme for Coventry.

At the same time as carrying out the essential upgrades on its network, Severn Trent is also offering customers where work is already taking place to have their old, lead or leaking supply pipes replaced for free as part of a £76m supply pipe replacement scheme for Coventry.

SOS Group Services, can help replace your old water supply pipes using the new Severn Trent Supply Pipe Replacement Grant Scheme. As part of this Grant Scheme, you would receive:

  • a new, plastic water supply pipe for your home to replace your old pipe
  • a single supply pipe if you’re currently sharing a supply pipe with your neighbour(s)
  • a £1,300 grant from Severn Trent to a WaterSafe or other approved plumber to contribute towards the cost of the work

You are likely to be eligible for the Grant Scheme if you currently have at least one of the following:

  • lead supply pipes
  • a shared supply with your neighbour(s) (a joint supply)
  • a leaking supply pipe
  • Own your home or pay the mortgage – if you rent your home, you’ll need to get your landlord’s permission
  • Have a CV1, CV2, CV3, CV4, CV5 or CV6 postcode or pay Coventry City Council Tax

To confirm your eligibility, we will need to carry out an inspection. If you’re interested, get in contact with us today to book a 100% free inspection.
